Fujifilm eyes 120 cr revenue from Instax cameras; ties up with Flipkart

Fujifilm India, on Tuesday, announced its strategic partnership with e-commerce portal Flipkart for exclusive retailing of its newly launched Instax mini range products and smartphone printer. The product range includes Instax Mini 70, Instax mini Hello Kitty along with their instant smartphone printer, Instax Share.

The company is eyeing a revenue of 120 cr for the next financial year.

Yasunobu Nishiyama, managing director, Fujifilm India, said: “Last year, we sold 3.9 million units and this year, we hope to take it to 5 million globally. India is an important market as it is young and wants the best of technology. We are highly enthusiastic about our partnership with Flipkart, and are expecting strategic benefits in terms of developing extensive reach and creating more value proposition to our patrons.”
 

Adarsh K Menon, vice-president, business development, Flipkart, said: The cameras category on Flipkart has been witnessing continuous growth, driven by the rising popularity of photography as a hobby. We are pleased to partner with Fujifilm, a leading name in the photo imaging business."

The Instax series has been priced between Rs 8,999 and Rs 11,499. It enables users to obtain high quality credit-card size photos instantly. The camera uses a cartridge-like equipment that has ten photo papers for usage.

Fujifilm portable photo printer is priced at Rs 14,499 and allows users to print photographs clicked on their mobile phones.
