Chennai-based Odyssey Technologies, an information security firm, has announced that Geojit Financial Services Ltd and India Infoline Ltd would be using its SDS Enterprise to digitally sign electronic contract notes (ECNs) to its NSE and BSE customers.

Geojit will also use it for its MCX/NCDEX/NMCE customers at the end of the trading day. A company release said that SDS would empower Geojit and India Infoline to send ECNs that are digitally signed, encrypted, tamper evident and compliant with Indian IT Act 2000.

"SDS's high performance signature and encryption module facilitates the stockbrokers to send large volume of digitally signed ECNs and to automate the process, thereby meeting deadlines and compliance issues," Murali, vice -president, Odyssey Technologies, said.

SEBI has issued guidelines to stock broking firms to use digital signature to secure the ECNs sent to its investors, it added.
