The Andhra Pradesh Information Technology and Communications Department (IT&CD) has signed an MoU with Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) for organising Gitex India, a three-day ICT trade exhibition, here from January 11, 2006. |
"The signing of MoU reinforces our commitment to Gitex, a show that delivers measurable results while offering exhibitors a solid platform to conduct business transactions and showcase their tech innovations," IT & CD secretary K Ratna Prabha stated in a press release on Sunday. |
Last year, IT majors including Microsoft, Satyam, BenQ, Siemens, Acer, Brother, Visual Soft, Sierra Atlantic, Infotech and Dubai Internet City took part in Gitex Hyderabad. |
As part of Gitex India, the state government would be conducting parallel conferences, and Nasscom would be holding an animation conference. |
Besides, Hyderabad Software Exporters Association would be organising a workshop on emerging technologies and student-industry interaction fair, while the CII would conduct a meeting on hardware industry. |
