Gitex India from Jan 11

The Andhra Pradesh Information Technology and Communications Department (IT&CD) has signed an MoU with Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) for organising Gitex India, a three-day ICT trade exhibition, here from January 11, 2006.
 
"The signing of MoU reinforces our commitment to Gitex, a show that delivers measurable results while offering exhibitors a solid platform to conduct business transactions and showcase their tech innovations," IT & CD secretary K Ratna Prabha stated in a press release on Sunday.
 
Last year, IT majors including Microsoft, Satyam, BenQ, Siemens, Acer, Brother, Visual Soft, Sierra Atlantic, Infotech and Dubai Internet City took part in Gitex Hyderabad.
 
As part of Gitex India, the state government would be conducting parallel conferences, and Nasscom would be holding an animation conference.
 
Besides, Hyderabad Software Exporters Association would be organising a workshop on emerging technologies and student-industry interaction fair, while the CII would conduct a meeting on hardware industry.
