The global investors’ meet will be held at Bangalore on June 3 and 4. The state government has appointed a vision group headed by Kris Gopalkrishnan, CEO and MD, Infosys.
Large and medium industries minister Murugesh Nirani told Business Standard here on Monday that preparations were on to host the meet.
The minister said steps were being taken to provide proper infrastructure including residential facilities in all industrial zones. Each of the zone will have commercial complexes, schools, hospitals, parks and entertainment facilities.
Replying to a question he said divisional-level industrial adalats will be held from January 5-31 to enable people to air their grievances and get the problems solved. “There are complaints about the single window system not being very helpful. Steps would be taken to overcome the difficulties,” he asserted.
The state is planning to set up industrial corridors along the National Highway No 4 in the state. Nirani said the government aimed at setting up 52 SEZs in the state. Of them, 15 already exist and the Centre has given the approval for another nine.
Nirani informed that the places with industrial raw materials will be developed. Fruit processing units will be set up at the APMC yard in Amargol off Dharwad and at Navanagar in Bagalkot.
