Ahmedabad-based (n)Code Solutions, a division of Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilisers Company (GNFC), is eyeing a major chunk of e-business from state and central government organisations. |
Set up six months ago, (n)Code Solutions offers solutions related to privacy and authenticity of e-transactions. It offers digital certificates that can integrate with applications such as e- mails, work flow and enterprise wide applications. |
The digital certificate from (n)Code can be used by individuals, corporates and governments to secure online B2B or B2C applications and other online transactions. |
At the national level, there are six companies apart from (n) Code that have been authorised by the Controller of Certifying Authority (CCA), a body under the aegis of Department of Information Technology, to act as a certifying authority in e-trade. |
"Our clients include Sardar Sarovar Nigam, Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Indian Farmers Fertiliser Co-operative and Gujarat State Fertilisers Corporation. The increasing enthusiasm for applications such as e-procurement, internet banking, e-governance and other e-trade activities in India will prove to be a boon for us," said Jagdeep Kochar, chief-information technology, (n)Code Solutions. |
The company is aiming to increase it clientele with the help of the state government which intends to adopt an e-procurement system, which ensures better transparency compared with traditional biding. |
"The e-procurement system offers safety and security of transactions. It also enables the organisation to strike a better deal as vendors from anywhere in India can bid for the tenders. We have already established our branch network in all major cities," said Kochar. (n)Code has branches in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai. |
"(n)Code Solutions is also providing value-added services to clients such as training vendors registered with the client as e-procurement concept is an emerging concept in India," informed Kochar. |
