India is going to be the first emerging market country for Google Business Photos. The initiative aims to break down the barriers that stop small businesses from getting online by offering a quick and easy tool, to help them in their line of work, a statement said.

Google Business Photos enhances the way businesses appear in Google search, places and maps. It is envisaged that small businesses, which are household names across retail, hotel, leisure and entertainment would be at the forefront of taking advantage of Google’s new initiative in India.

Consumers will now be able to see the panoramic interior imagery of the popular businesses in their cities starting with the biggest 8 cities but eventually expanding to many more businesses across 20 cities in India, the company statement added.
