HCL Infosystems said it will be focusing at the system integration segment as a major growth area of the company, besides continuing to introduce new products.

"We want the system integration segment should generate about 50 per cent of the total revenue of the company in the next few years as this is bound to grow fast," HCL Executive VP (Marketing) George Paul told reporters here at an event.

At present, revenues generated from system integration are not significant, as compared with other segments, the company said. The total revenue of the company was over Rs 12,000 crore.

System integration has 14 verticals of which telecom, banking, e-governance, power and security were important, Paul said.

Speaking about new products, he said the company is aiming to introduce Mobile Internet Devices in the near future. The company is working on a Handheld Terminal to be used for financial inclusion projects of banks.

Paul also said the company enjoys 10 per cent share in the overall PC market and seven per cent in the laptop market. Retail revenue comprised close to 35 per cent.

However, Paul, did reveal any plans for rolling out its brand retail chain through its JV with Nokia.
