Hexware bags $1.2mn order from UK firm

Hexaware Technologies has bagged an order worth $1.2 million from a global insurance company based in UK.

Hexaware has been selected as a partner by the UK insurance company for running and supporting the complex conversion activity to include both the technical conversion suite and data enhancing activities, the company said in a release issued to the BSE.

The project involve automated data conversion from the existing legacy system to the target system for various European countries and Hexaware has already deployed a large team of experts, the release said.

Sunil Surya, President, Hexaware Technologies (European operations) said the company has already established its leadership position by focusing on delivering business value in core domain.

"The client was convinced of our understanding of the domain sensitivity and also our experience with handling of such large conversion projects. This contract further strengthens Hexaware's position in the insurance vertical," Surya said.

The company has been consistently focusing on European market. For the last quarter of 2004, 24.8% of the total revenue of Rs 157.01 crore came from the European region, the release added.
