Teachers across India have been hit hard due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has seen several thousands of teachers lose their jobs. Several others had to take substantial pay cuts. The situation looks grim in the metros and small-town India. For example, in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, several private teachers have lost their jobs as schools have gone online.
