With increased demand in printers for home, HP has launched six new HP Deskjet Ink Advantage printers at Pune on Wednesday. According to the company, this new range delivers printing affordability and productivity with first-to-market technologies for mobile, on-the-go printing, such as wireless direct printing that does not require a network.
Commenting on this, Nitin Hiranandani, Director, Printing Systems, PPS, HP India said, "In printing, affordability is the key issue and our growing HP Deskjet Ink Advantage and Officejet portfolio will offer more affordable choices that allow our customers to print more at a lower cost without sacrificing quality or reliability. Aslo, the usage of printers in family is increasing due to changing education practices. Its useful in printing school projects, documents for work, festival cards, photos from the digital camera.
The printers allow children to showcase their school-work at its best and the markets is growing at 4 per cent per year.
He added, "The new range also demonstrates HP’s technological leadership with HP ePrint and first-to-market features like HP Wireless Direct printing and Print Apps, which increase productivity and address the growing mobile and digital needs of on Wednesday’s customers."
According to Hiranandani, the Inkjest printer market is growing at 4 pre cent and laser printer is growing by 6 per cent every year. The market size of family usage for printers is 3 lakh units while laser printers is of 2.5 lakh units.
