HTC, a Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer, recently launched the Desire 12 at Rs 15,800 in India. The midrange smartphone features glossy glass-based design and a modern 18:9 aspect ratio screen. The phone takes design cues, such as liquid surface on the back, from HTC U-series flagship smartphones. Let’s take a look at what the Desire 12 offers:
The phone comes packed with MediaTek MT6739 64-bit quad core processor, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It runs on Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box covered under HTC Sense UI. The device is powered by a 2730 mAh non-removable battery.
The phone sports a 13MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture at the back and a 5MP camera with f/2.4 aperture on the front. The rear camera features phase detection autofocus (PDAF) technology, which assists camera in freezing autofocus at fast moving objects.
The device sports a 5.5-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) IPS display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, optimal to watch multimedia content. The phone’s frame offers comfortable single-handed experience and easy manoeuvrability.
The phone comes with HTC’s premium U-series smartphones-inspired liquid surface design with a glossy finish body. The frame and curved edges looks plush, and goes well with the available colour options -- cool black and warm silver.
