Hutch cuts pre-paid tariffs in Delhi by 50%

In a fresh round of tariff war in mobile telephony, Hutch today cut the tariff for pre-paid subscribers in Delhi circle by over 50% to 99 paise per minute for a call between Hutch-to-Hutch from the existing Rs 1.99 per minute.

The company also reduced the entry charges by making the pre-paid connection available at just Rs 99 with a recharge coupon of Rs 199.

Announing the new tariffs, Sanjoy Mukerji, director (operations)
of Hutchison Essar, Delhi, said the reduced tariffs will come into effect from May 14, 2005.

"It is our constant endeavour to create value for our subscribers. By unveiling these offers, Hutch has drastically reduced the cost of staying mobile, and making mobile telephony affordable to the masses," Mukerji said.
