Hutch to offer ISD calls at Rs 9.99 per minute

Cellular service provider Hutch has announced a special offer for its pre-paid customers, who can now make calls to the UK, US and Canada at Rs 9.99 per minute.

Sunil Sood, director, operations, Hutch Gujarat, said all Hutch pre-paid users who top-up their accounts with a one-time recharge of Rs 1,501 can avail of the special ISD tariff.

The tariff is expected to benefit a large proportion of Hutch users who have friends and relatives in the UK, US or Canada.

Sood said, "There is a large Gujarati community overseas, particularly in the UK, US and Canada. Around the New Year and Uttarayan, a large number of non-resident Indians visit Gujarat, the community comes closer and we witness a surge in international calls. By offering a special ISD tariff we want to make it easy for more Hutch users to get in touch with their friends and family members abroad."

Hutch users, on recharging their pre-paid account for Rs 1,501, receive an SMS within 24 hours informing them about the details of the ISD tariff offer.

The ISD tariff offer is applicable for 30 days from the date of activation. Hutch users can avail of the offer till January 31, 2005.
