IBM inks $3.8mn deal with Sony Pictures

Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) signed a five-year, $3.8 million (approx. Rs16.3 crore) contract with IBM to support its global financial system. The announcement comes after the recent outsourcing deal between the IT major and Idea Cellular worth $600-800 million. The agreement, signed with SPE expands on a $4.3 million Q4FY06 contract between the two companies that was based on a competitive evaluation.

IBM Global Business Services will provide application management services for SPE's SAP global financial applications, leveraging IBM
