IBM to launch SMB operations in Rajasthan

IBM India has announced the launch of small and medium business (SMB) operations in Jaipur as part of its expansion plans to enter 14 new cities in the country.
 
This would help IBM to cater to the specific requirements and enable customised services to SMB clients in Jaipur and neighbouring markets.
 
As part of it strategy to aggressively tap the SMB market in India, IBM is slated to expand operations in 5 additional cities including Nasik, Surat, Bhubaneswar, Madurai and Ludhiana.
 
The company had earlier announced the launch of similar centres in Jamshedpur, Vizag, Chandigarh, Nagpur, Coimbatore, Goa, Bhopal and Lucknow.
 
"Opening the latest centre in Jaipur clearly demonstrates our ongoing commitment to help SMB clients succeed in a competitive marketplace. By empowering the SMBs clients in textiles, travel and tourism, gems and cement industries with the world class technology, we offer them the opportunity to be an integral part of India's growth story," said Ramesh Narasimhan, Director "� GSMB, IBM India and South Asia in a statement.
 
With over 3,000 SMB customers in India, IBM's operations in Jaipur will target various clients in the hospitality, government, textile,and gems sector. Currently, the company has been delivering solutions to Shree Cements and NBC Bearings. It has invested in the development of products and services specifically priced and designed for the SMB marketplace under the brand name 'IBM Express Portfolio'.
 
IBM's Express portfolio is comprised of hardware, software, services, solutions and financing and is designed to meet specific criteria for SMBs.
