Aditya Birla group company Idea Cellular today said it will start rolling out 3G services in India from next month.
"We are looking at launching 3G services next month. We are still working out on details," Rajat Mukarji, the chief corporate affairs officer of Idea Cellular told PTI.
Mukarji did not comment on the phases of launching 3G services in the circles where the company has bagged licences.
"The details are still being worked out," Mukarji reiterated.
Idea Cellular has won 3G spectrum in 11 circles for about Rs 5,768 crore.
While telecom majors in India namely Tata Teleservices, Reliance Communications and Bharti Airtel have launched 3G services and started acquiring customers, Idea Cellular is yet to open its account in the market.
The company has pan-India operations and subscriber base of over 81 million as on December 31, 2010.
