Cellular service provider IMImobile has bagged the rights to distribute the 'official melody of 2006 FIFA World Cup', to over 90 million mobile subscribers spread across 17 countries. IMImobile has signed a license agreement with London-based Kobalt Music Publishing, which controls and administers the copyright to 'the official melody of the 2006 FIFA World Cup' on behalf of FIFA, the company said in a release here today. During the soccer world cup, IMImobile would offer a full range of mobile download content of FIFA World Cup's official melody in the form of monotones, polytones, true tones and caller ring back tones. "The official melody of the FIFA World Cup is a fine example of how music combined with such a mega sports show can help draw an even wider fan base and increase the event's popularity," Bibhu Kumar, VP sales of IMImobile, said. Besides India, the company's distribution rights cover Bangladesh, Bahrain, Congo, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Kuwait, Mauritius, Nigeria, Oman Qatar, Panama, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Trinidad & Tobago and UAE. |
