Infosys BPO is likely to get a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) by January 15, a top company official said.
"We will announce the appointment of a new CEO by January 15," Infosys Board Member T V Mohandas Pai told reporters on the sidelines of a press conference here today.
The company's CEO Amitabh Chaudhry quit the firm on November 23.
The IT firm would first scout for a suitable candidate from within the organisation, but would also look externally, Pai said.
Chaudhry, who took over as the CEO of Infosys BPO in March 2006, will, however, remain the acting Chief for the period, Pai said.
