Infotech Enterprises net profit up

Infotech Enterprises Limited, a Hyderabad-based geospatial, design engineering and software services and solutions company, reported a marginal increase of 0.25 per cent in its net profit at Rs 20.05 crore (unaudited and consolidated) for the third quarter ended December 31, 2007, compared with Rs 20 crore during the corresponding quarter last year.
 
Total income stood at Rs 182.8 crore for the quarter, as against Rs 143.06 crore during the same period last year, up 27.77 per cent.
 
"The dollar has further fallen by 45 paise and pound by close to Rs 2. This exchange fluctuation impacted our net profit. However, operating margins have been maintained at 18.1 per cent despite the exchange fluctuation," Nagaraja, senior vice-president (finance), Infotech Enterprises, told Business Standard.
