Infy, Aussie bank roll out product

IT services firm Infosys Technologies said on Wednesday, it launched Online Saver, a product of Esanda an Australian bank.

The product plugged into Infosys' Finacle core banking software product and helped Esanda offer its savings products to customers via the Internet and telephone.

Esanda, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the ANZ Banking Group Ltd, is a vehicle and equipment finance solutions and fixed interest investments firm, an Infosys release said.

Online Saver enables Esanda to compete head on with Australia's major banks by offering customers access to a high interest savings product accessible via the telephone or Internet. The project, completed in six-months, was rolled out across Queensland in April 2005.
