JP Mobile, a leading provider of enterprise mobile messaging and security software, announced that it is teaming up with Microsoft (MSFT) to expand the capabilities and service offerings of hosted exchange service providers. |
JP Mobile's SureWave Mobile Connect (SWMC) is a hosted, subscription-based, wireless e-mail service for Microsoft Exchange 2000 and 2003. By using this, mobile professionals can eliminate the need to purchase an enterprise server and can integrate software. |
SWMC also helps maximise service provider profit potential by featuring automated, low-cost, over-the-air (OTA) e-mail/PIM provisioning to the mobile devices of their own hosted exchange customers, the company stated in a press release here on Thursday. |
"Equipping small and medium businesses with a simple way to get mobile access to their calendar, contacts and email will definitely broaden the appeal of our hosting partners," said Morgan Cole, product manager for Microsoft's solution for hosted messaging and collaboration. |
He said that by partnering with JP Mobile, MSFT could help service providers enhance the value and increase the bottomline benefits of their hosted services. |
With SureWave, according to Dayakar Puskoor, JP Mobile founder and CEO, users receive their personal and corporate outlook data anytime, anywhere on their Symbian, Palm or Windows mobile devices. |
