Kent Mineral to expand in UP

Kent Mineral RO systems, pioneers in reverse osmosis technology, is all set to tap the potential in Uttar Pradesh by widening its distribution and service network along with the company's innovative marketing strategies.
 
With regard to expansion plans in the state, Mahesh Gupta, managing director, Kent RO Systems Ltd said, "Kent has a major share in Uttar Pradesh water purifier market with a network of 100 dealers, which would be taken to 150 by the end of this fiscal. Last year we sold 6, 000 units in the state, and this year we are targeting 10, 000 units of Mineral RO and 3, 00 of Kent Ultra."
 
Gupta was present in the state capital to announce the launch of complete range of water purifiers comprises of Kent Grand - the mineral RO water purifier and the state of the art 3 stages advanced Ultra Violet water purifier- Kent Ultra.
 
"With the water purifier market size hitting 5, 00, 000 units per year, Rs 600-700 crore approximately in the organised sector alone, Kent RO plans to capture almost 20 per cent market share through better quality products and increase in dealer and service network," added Gupta.
 
The company has already put up a new manufacturing plant in Roorkee (Uttarakhand), which will commence functioning in a week's time. The unit has a manufacturing capacity of about 1, 00, 000 units per year.
 
The company has also entered into a strategic ti- up with Indian Oil, wherein the wide network of Indian Oil will provide availability of Kent products at each dealer and petrol pump outlets, thus giving thrust to the growth of retail business for both the companies.
