Kerala IT showcases its facilities at Dubai expo

The Consulate General of India in the United Arab Emirates, Sanjay Varma, inaugurated the Kerala IT pavilion at the Gitex Technology Week 2010 that began today at the Dubai International Exhibtion and Convention Centre. Kerala IT is represented by a two-member team including Technopark CEO, Mervin Alexander, and Cyberpark CEO, Binu A Pazhoor.

The team held a meeting with Hussain Mohammed  Al Mahmoudi, director of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). Hussain has extended all cooperation on the joint ventures to develop strong bilateral relations. The Kerala IT department had signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SCCI to set up an innovation centre at Infopark Kochi, last year.

 

The team also met with Sudesh Aggarwal, chairman of Indian Business and Professional Council, who offered his support to the idea of single window opportunity to promote IT business. The delegation will also be meeting Dubai and Abu Dhabi Chambers of Commerce and Industry and also leading Malayali business leaders in the region to discuss and propose promotion IT in Kerala.

Kerala IT, the unified brand developed to promote business opportunities in the field of information technology in the state, is showcasing its IT parks including the just-launched Technocity, soon-to-be-inaugurated Kollam Technopark and Infopark Cherthala, Cyberparks at Kozhikode and Kasargod, and various other investment opportunities in the IT sector across Kerala.
