Learnpedia Edutech, a Hyderabad-based provider of digital learning solutions, on Wednesday launched ‘JEE Study Mate’, its new technology-based supplement for JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) aspirants.
The self-learning product offers over 750 sessions of offline content with videos, animations and solved examples of the entire JEE syllabus. JEE Study Mate is available both in DVDs and 7-inch Karbonn Smart Tab-II tablets, and is priced at Rs 6,900 and Rs 13,900 respectively.
“Missed lectures, incomplete conceptual clarity, untimely doubts and inconsistent content and delivery at coaching institutes in the country are the issues that stakeholders in the JEE test preparation usually face. The new product will enable students to plug their learning gaps at their own pace and convenience,” Krishna Rao Akula, chief executive of Learnpedia, told mediapersons here on Wednesday.
Stating that 70 per cent of the coaching centres are in the unorganised sector and the country currently needs 12,000 sets (mathematics, physics and chemistry) of teachers, he said 2.8 million JEE aspirants were expected to give Board exams next year.
