Lenovo on Monday launched for the Indian market the YOGA 900, the latest iteration in the YOGA series of laptops, and also unveiled the YOGA Tab 3 Pro (10).
Touted as the “world’s thinnest Intel Core i convertible laptop”, the YOGA 900 will be available exclusively at Croma outlets across the country, select Lenovo exclusive stores and on Lenovo’s official website from Monday at a price of Rs 1,22,090.
The YOGA 900 provides four usage modes — laptop, stand, tent and tablet — and sports Lenovo’s signature ‘watchband’ hinge. The company claims the hinge, made of more than 800 individual pieces, provides noticeably smoother rotation.
The laptop sports a 13.3-inch QHD screen and runs on the Windows 10 Home operating system. While the device will be available with both i7 and i5 processors in the international market, only the i7 variant is available in India. The device also features a 512GB SSD for storage and a 8GB RAM.
The laptop, weighing 1.29 kg, has a battery that can provide users with a claimed nine hours of video playback. Audio support for the device is provided by JBL stereo speakers, along with Dolby Home Theatre. At the moment, the laptop will only be available in champagne gold colour in India.
The YOGA Tab 3 Pro, which will cost Rs 39,990, features a 10.1-inch QHD screen and is powered by a 10,200 mAh battery, providing 18 hours of charge and allowing the device to be used as an USB powerbank for other devices. The device runs on a 2.24GHz Intel Atom processor and comes equipped with a 2GB RAM. The device also sports a 180-degree rotatable projector, which can display a 70-inch image on any solid surface. The device’s audio system comprises four front-facing JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos. The YOGA Tab 3 Pro, when it would be launched and made available, would be sold exclusively on Flipkart, the company said.
