LG eyes 30% share in flat panel TV mart |

Korean durables giant LG aims to capture 30% of the flat panel TV market this year, company executives said during the launch of its Pearl Black LCD TV range today. LG has named Flat panel display category as a growth driver this festive season. The company will invest Rs 22 crore on marketing and promotional activities for the new range. LG currently has 25% market share of flat panel category, company executives said. "We hope to sell 20,000 units of Pearl Black range over the next 45 days generating 8 crore from LCD TVs in the launch phase," V Ramachandran, director (sales and marketing), LGEIL.
