Mah Satyam sets up new leadership structure for Americas

Hyderabad-based information technology services provider Mahindra Satyam, formerly Satyam Computer Services, has announced a major recast of its Americas operations. It appointed three executives to strategic leadership roles in the region with a view to enhancing capability to address growth opportunities in the Americas.

According to a press release, Lakshmanan Chidambaram, who recently joined the company from Syntel Inc, will head the banking & financial services, manufacturing, healthcare & life sciences verticals and BPO business group. Based out of Boston, Chidambaram will provide strategic insights and drive vertical centric go-to-market differentiated solutions. Another executive Arvind Malhotra will head the company's strategic accounts, public services, energy & utility and Latin America business groups. Operating from Atlanta, Arvind will focus on rapid build of business momentum and stakeholder mindshare.

 

On the other hand, Nishith Mathur will head technology, media & entertainment; retail & consumer products and transportation/logistics verticals plus the infrastructure services business group. Operating from San Jose, Nishith will focus on growing marquee accounts through innovative services and industry alliances.

These executive appointments, the company stated, represent a renewed strategic focus to position key executives closer to its clients and investors, thereby facilitating enhanced relationships and closer alignment of business strategy to regional imperatives.

“Our recast operating structure with key executives based in the Americas, enables us to build upon recent successes and develop deeper relationships. Together - Lakshmanan, Arvind and Nishith, will drive Mahindra Satyam to the next level of growth in the coming years; leveraging their decades of industry experience and unique insights of the Americas market,” Atul Kunwar, company president, said.
