Mensamind, an enterprise software solutions company, is launching a multimedia blogging portal, www.mensablogs.com, to enable mobile camera phone users all over the world to instantly publish text, pictures, audio and video directly from their camera phones using mobile multimedia messaging service (MMS) on GPRS, CDMA and 3G Mobile networks.

The portal will be launched tomorrow. While the portal services are directly accessible and free, the company has also entered into a tie-up with www.indiainfo.com to provide a link to the site.

Announcing the launch of the portal here today, Ken Kinsella, CEO of Mensamind, said that LivePublish, an enterprise-wide scalable software developed in-house, was being used to enable the portal services.

Mensamind is one of the very few players in the world to develop a comprehensive mobile wireless imaging communications and content publishing solution like LivePublish, he said. The software was capable of offering dynamic MMS to individual users as well as business verticals.

The Chicago-based company, which has a development centre in the city, expects to garner $20 million through revenue-sharing or product sales of LivePublish.

Kinsella claimed that LivePublish was a very timely solution for mobile carriers worldwide which were increasingly faced with the tasks of additional revenue generation through value-added services as voice traffic service was getting commoditised.

Besides, the software would also help them in increasing the stickiness of the customers, he said. He added that the company had already initiated negotiations with major media publishing, insurance, law enforcement firms and agencies in various countries.

Sankar Nagarajan, the head of a 13-member team which developed LivePublish, said the solution would turn mobile camera phones into powerful internet publishing devices.
He explained that with mega pixel camera phones in the offing, wireless photography could turn out to be major revenue-booster for mobile carriers.

The portal, mensablogs.com, enabled by LivePublish, would enable users to instantly publish such rich content as live pictures with text, video and audio clips. Each user of the portal would be given an account size of 3 mb space.
