Midas launches wireless broadband system

Midas Communication Technologies Private Limited, which is into developing telecommunications access solutions, has launched wireless broadband system for mass deployment.
 
The new broadband CorDECT, was launched by Union minister for communications and information technology Dayanidhi Maran. It will have high bit rate data capabilities and toll quality voice, a company release said.
 
Targeted at telecommunications and Internet service providers, broadband CorDECT system has been designed to enable the users to easily adapt to various customer requirements like voice, data and video services. It also supports email/chat and SMS without a computer or mobile service.
 
The statement said that the system was highly scalable, and is built to withstand extreme weather conditions. It is environment-friendly and cost-effective for mass deployment, the release added.
 
Midas' advanced EMI/EMC test lab was also unveiled by the minister. The lab comes with in-house testing facilities to test for compliance with international standards, covering lightning and other surges, power supply variation, emitted radiation test and human safety test, among others.
