MobileNXT Teleservices Pvt. Ltd. launched its first mobile retail chain, the first of its concept store, in Mysore on September 29.

The Mysore store is its 14th store in the country and the seventh in Karnataka after Bangalore, Hubli and Mangalore. It launched its first store in Gurgaon in April 2006.

Speaking at the launch, Mobile NXT Founder & CEO Vijay Menon said, with the boom in the mobile industry over the last two years in the country, there is a huge need to provide value based consumer experiences to this growing market.

"Our primary focus is on creating an organised retail format in the under-served tier II and tier III cities, whereas our presence in large metros will be through shop-in-shop formats and malls thereby establishing a presence in the leading, relatively saturated markets in the country. We chose Mysore for setting up our store since it has a huge business potential which just needs to be harnessed. Mysore has the right kind of demand, which has to be catered to," Menon said.

Focussed on providing consistent offerings to build consumer value, MobileNXT, he said, is aimed at reinvigorating the retail consumer experience in three areas " product, services and after sales support offerings, store personnel, unique exchange programme and strong one to one relationship including a call centre.

The integrated call centre facility provides information related to any product category or service a customer needs. The products on sale will include GSM and CDMA handsets from all the top manufacturers across the globe.

"Each of the store has been designed keeping in mind our primary audience, the youth, young adults and the quality and brand conscious consumers. Our aim is to become India's largest chain of mobile stores," Menon added.
