MphasiS promotes panchayat

IT services firm MphasiS, which is now part of EDS, has announced to implement ‘Namma Halli’ (Our Village), a corporate social responsibility initiative, in partnership with the confederation of Indian Industry, Karnataka.

The company will work with Srinivas Services Trust (SST) on the project whickh will be implemented in Doora panchayat in Mysore district.

MphasiS has made three year commitment to provide financial and voluntary support to SST towards adoption and development of Door panchayat, which comprises of four villages including Doora, Talur, Muradagalli and Dodda Katuru.

The project will focus on improving the overall social economic development of the people in these areas, the Bangalore-headquartered company said. The project will involve an investment of close to Rs 28 lakh.

 

“The Namma Halli project reiterates our focus on public private partnership for social development. The project will give our employees an opportunity to volunteer, collaborate with local people, and make recognisable difference to the village environment,” said Jeya Kumar, CEO, MphasiS.
