MphasiS to buy Eldorado for $16.5mn

MphasiS BFL has acquired US-based Eldorado Computing Inc, a healthcare insurance business process outsourcing (bpo) firm, for $16.5 million in an all-cash deal.

"The acquistion is part of overall business plan to strengthen footprint in the US, and enter the healthcare insurance and payment processing business,"  MphasiS chairman and chief executive Jerry Rao said today.

Eldorado Computing had clocked revenues of $10 million last year, and would contribute to the bottomline immediately, he added.

The Arizona-based BPO specialises in claims, processing and benefits in the helthcare sector.
