Mphasis to open BPO facility in Noida

Mphasis BFL today announced the establishment of a business process outsourcing (BPO) facility in Noida.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, it currently has BPO facilities in Bangalore, Mangalore, Pune & Tijuana in Mexico.

Jerry Rao, chairman & CEO, said: "The volume of our business from domestic customers has witnessed a sharp rise in the past few years. Through the establishment of the Noida facility, MpahsiS has made a strategic decision to cater to and further tap the domestic segment. In the initial stages of operation, the Noida facility will cater to clients in the telecom and financial services industry, and we expect to see a significant increase in both our volume of business as well as overall client base."

The facility has the capacity to house close to 500 employees when fully operational, and is scheduled to commence operations in September, the release said.
