Multimedia messaging fast gaining acceptance

 The growth in the number of subscribers of all service providers (Airtel, Idea, Hutch etc) has exceeded 1 lakh in the period.

 Operators and handset manufacturers now believe that, as MMS becomes more popular in the next few years, revenues from this service alone will be as much as is being earned from SMS (short messaging service) at present.
