State-owned Mahanagar Telecom Nigam Ltd (MTNL) has reduced its international call tariffs on GSM services in Mumbai. The company operates two GSM services, Dolphin and Trump, in Mumbai and Delhi.

Under the revised tariff structure, charges to like the US, Canada, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia would be around Rs 6.67 per minute. This is 50 per cent less than the existing Rs 12, MTNL said in a release here today.

MTNL Mumbai has reduced call charges to Europe, Gulf, Asia, SAARC and African countries to around Rs 10 per minute from Rs 15.

It has reduced call charges per minute for the rest of the world to around Rs 15 for a sixty-second billing, from Rs 30. However, these tariffs are not applicable to customers under the OneIndia plan.

The company has fixed Rs 240 per minute for its Immarsat services.

The cut in tariffs is in sync with MTNL's efforts to provide affordable services to customers. MTNL Mumbai had recently announced increase in pulse rates for its landline and CDMA services.
