California-based NetDevices Inc, a networking solutions provider, has opened its new development centre in Hyderabad. The company has already established three development centres at Sunnyvale, Sydney and Bangalore.

Addressing a press conference, Seenu Banda, president and chief executive officer of NetDevices Inc, said, "The company has opened its fourth centre in Hyderabad because it has taken tremendous strides in the area. It is also one of the most sought-after destinations because of the large talent available here."

According to him, the Hyderabad centre will focus on market and product requirements definition, architecture and technology innovation, hardware and software development.

"Apart from these three functions, it will also help in testing and integration, global customer service and support," he said. The company currently has 30 workstations at the facility and plans to hire around 50 employees in the next three months.

"The overall strategy is to have around 200 employees by the end of the calendar year from the present 127," Banda said.

"For the further expansion plans of the company, we would be raising the required funding either from Series B funding, debt or from the revenue earned from the sales," he said.

Banda said that the company is developing next generation networking products that eliminate the need for up to eight devices.

"The company delivers service gateways to its customers that provide significant cost savings, both at the time of purchase and throughout the life cycle of the product," he said.
