NIIT expansion in Vietnam on anvil

IT training major NIIT has announced expansion plans in Vietnam. After a meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung today, G Raghavan, president, NIIT Global Individual Learning Business, said: "NIIT will work with the Vietnam's industry and academia to help build their IT skill base, in the spirit of partnership."

NIIT is looking at partnering with a number of colleges and Universities in Vietnam to reach out to a larger number of students and help them gain IT skills, Raghavan added. NIIT presently has about 24 centres in 13 provinces since 1991, with over 8,000 students on its rolls.

NIIT has allied with the likes of  Hoa Sen University, Saigon Software Park, ICT Hanoi, Hanoi CTT and  HaiPhong Software Park, in Vietnam. NIIT
