Nokia to target mobile gaming

The world's largest mobile-maker, Nokia today said that it is looking at mobile gaming as one of the growth drivers.

"Currently the company offers few basic games on its phones. But mobile gaming is definitely on the company's target list," Nokia India Multimedia Director Vineet Taneja told reporters here.

He said the company was working on local and international contents in gaming. The company also launched a new model in its multi-media range of phones.

To promote the new phone, the company has partnered with film maker Subhash Ghai's Whistling Woods International film institute for a contest in film-making using the new model.

The model was launched globally last week. It would hit the Indian market within a week, he added.
