One97 Communications ties up with Star News

One97 Communications, India’s largest telecom application platform company, announced its partnership with Star News.

This has been announced  to develop highly flexible and strong platform for  the users to have access to current news any time,
anywhere. These services would be available in multiple languages, reaching its target audience through the most personalised medium.

In this first-of-its-kind partnership of a VAS player with the media house, One97 will provide its platform, for Star News to reach its viewers in accordance to its profile, demography, age, pricing and languages.

The content is highly flexible and can be enhanced time to time depending upon the need of the customer. For the first time a news channel in India will be providing news feeds to its consumers under a monthly contract. This will significantly bring down the cost to the consumer who regularly avails mobile based services.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, managing director,One97 Communication said “We are excited to partner with Star News. Powered by One97 and Star News, viewers can now receive information in the form of SMS or Voice Alerts on their mobile phones. Services like Video News Streaming and Citizen Journalism will become a reality through this tie-up.

Through this service Star News can now proactively reach its viewers with the latest news without having to wait to them to tune in. Increased interactivity with viewers will also enhance interest in programmes.
