Oracle Communications, an arm of global database software major Oracle, launched its pre-integrated business application platform specifically designed for the telecom industry in New Delhi on Wednesday. Oracle's Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a business integration solution which enables telecom operators and other players like internet service providers to launch value added services in minimum time frame and with reduced costs. "Telecom and other service providers spend hefty amount on buying different applications from different players, but by using Oracle's pre-integrated business application platform, the companies can reduce their cost and increase their efficiency," Oracle's Regional, vice-president (Asia-Pacific), Sandeep Sharma told reporters here. The pre-built integrations would enable the service providers to launch the new services quickly and would also help them in discovering new revenue streams through enhanced data analysis, the company said in a statement. Oracle is also working with the leaders in the systems integrator community to co-develop best practise industry processes and model, Sharma added. |
