Packateer, a US-based networking firm, said on Friday it plans a "global strategic programme" to set up full-fledged operations in India, and a support centre in Bangalore. |
Dave Côté, president and chief executive officer, of the wide area network specialist, told reporters here, "Our India operations, officially a year old, continues to grow strongly to address the fast growing outsourcing requirements of multinational corporations." |
Growth in sectors like financial services, government and the Internet service providers was contributing to India being placed among the biggest and fastest growing markets, he said. |
Such markets "are adopting technology faster compared to some developed markets," Côté said. |
Packateer's India operations are part of its global strategy to improve logistics, training, enhance services to global clients through faster software implementations and 24 /7 support services. |
Packateer India's domestic business includes customers like Kanbay Software, HDFC Bank, oil firm BPCL and engineering firm L&T, he said. |
