BS Reporter / Mumbai October 17, 2007
Mumbai-based Patni Computer Systems has signed a five-year deal worth $200 million (around Rs 800 crore) with UK-based Carphone Warehouse - a leading independent mobile phone retailer.

Patni will become the primary technology partner, providing integrated services across consulting, systems integration, application development and maintenance. In addition, Patni will also be a key partner to Carphone Warehouse for developing next-generation systems for its global telecom and retail operations. These services will be delivered across pan-European locations by Patni's global consultants and global delivery centres in India.

Patni has been working with Carphone Warehouse for the last four years, and has co-developed intellectual property (IP) with the company. Earlier this month, Patni had announced that it has acquired the worldwide right to Carephone Warehouse
