Information technology (IT) services and solutions provider Patni Computer Systems has signed a five-year contract worth over £20 million (around Rs 145 crore) with UK-based IT services provider 2e2.
Patni will provide a range of support services to 2e2s end-user clients and in-house support services. The contract has potential to further scale rapidly in the first two years.
2e2 is present in the UK and Isle of Man, the Netherlands, Spain, Ireland, and the Channel Islands. It works with companies in the telecommunications, media, healthcare, retail, transport, public, financial services and professional services sectors.
Patni will start providing initial services under this new contract before the end of this year.
We are pleased to confirm our contract with 2e2 for end-user support services such as help desk, service desk and field operations. 2e2 has an excellent reputation for customer service in the marketplace and is growing quickly as a result. We are proud of the role that we will play in helping 2e2 to build its business still further, said Derek Kemp, president, EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) at Patni.
In common with all IT and infrastructure services companies, we have to look at the best ways to provide value to our clients. Working in partnership with Patni brings us flexibility and extra skills and services that we can leverage for our existing and new clients. This will allow us to offer a choice of delivery models, to introduce new services far more quickly and to scale our delivery rapidly to meet the requirement of our customers, said Neil Allpress, UK managing director at 2e2.
