The Bangalore-based Prestige Group plans to build a 1 million square feet tech park in Mysore. |
"The Mysore project is for commercial IT office space with multi-tenanted office blocks similar to our Prestige Tech Park on the Outer Ring Road in Bangalore," said Irfan Razack, Chairman and Managing Director, Prestige Group. |
"The tech park is to be built on 15.6 acres of recently-acquired land in Hootagalli, opposite the Infosys campus," he added. |
The office blocks will have 30,000 square feet to 35,000 square feet floor area each and will be built in phases. Phase I is to be completed in 24 months and phase II in 12 months from phase I. Facilities like club house, food court, business center, health club, swimming pool, retail stores, coffee shops and an amphitheatre will also be provided. |
"For the Mysore project, we are taking care of all shortcomings at our project on the Outer Ring Road in Bangalore. We are providing one car park for every 800 square feet," he said. |
In addition to the tech park, the company is also building a 'Forum Mall' in Mysore. The mall project is expected to cost around Rs 250 crore with about 500,000 square feet leasable area. |
According to Razack, the group is taking the Forum Mall to other cities like Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, Mangalore in the next three years. |
The Hyderabad project, costing Rs 300 crore, has 800,000 square feet of leasable area, Chennai Rs 300 crore and 600,000 square feet, Kochi Rs 350 crore and 700,000 square feet, Mangalore Rs 200 crore and 500,000 square feet. |
"The company is planning to build 10 malls with a budget of Rs 3,000 crore in south Indian cities. Malls are to come up with shopping, entertainment, multiplex and parking component when fully-functional," he added. |
