Prothious sets up second KPO unit at Nashik

Mumbai-based Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) company- Prothious Engineering Services has set up its new unit at Nashik with the headcounts of 280.

This new KPO unit, which is company’s second unit in Nashik and sixth in the country, will start full-fledge operation within the next six months.

Prothious is one of the major engineering, architecture and construction services companies. The company provides engineering, design, detailing and shop drawings, drafting, estimating, scheduling, project management, construction management and 3D BIM modeling services.

“The company has just started new KPO unit in Mahatma Nagar areas of Nashik city and has leased a 25,000 sq ft property for the purpose. This is the company’s second new KPO unit in Nashik and it has recruited 280 engineering graduates and diploma holders (DCE). The company’s existing KPO unit is located in Satpur areas of the city, with the headcounts of 270. The company’s headcounts in new KPO unit in Nashik will be increased upto 1,000 from the present headcounts of 280, within the next six months,” the senior official from the company told Business Standard, but avoided divulge any financial details.

 

Presently, the company has six units in four cities in India with a total headcounts of 1,200, located two each in Chennai & Nashik, and one each in Mumbai and Delhi. Out of total 1,200 headcounts, 75 per cent of headcounts are BE Civil & DCE (Civil), 10 per cent are AutoCAD operators, while rest of the 15 per cent are Mechanical Engineers and interior designers.

The company’s clients include a wide range of Material Fabricators and Suppliers, Contractors and Builders, Design-Build Firms, Consulting Engineers, EPC and Design Firms, Architects and Owners/Operators across six continents.

The company also has sales offices in North America, the U.K., the Middle East, South Africa, Brazil and Australia.
