To cater to clients in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) and KPO verticals, Quintegra Solutions will form two subsidiaries - one each in Uganda and Chennai.

To reinforce its presence in the African market, the Chennai-based software solutions company will open a wholly owned subsidiary at Kempala in Uganda by the second week of February, according to Quintegra CEO Shankarraman Vaidyanathan.

Quintegra Uganda, the new subsidiary, will start off with a clutch of African corporates on its client list. It is expected to help Quintegra establish a comprehensive services network for ERP implementation and services in southern Africa, besides catering to existing clients.

The company was in talks with about 15 East African companies for SAP implementation contracts and was looking at the BFSI segment here in a big way, Vaidyanathan said.

"We are targeting revenues of $7-10 million from our African operations by financial year 2009-end," Vaidyanathan said.

A second wholly owned subsidiary, Quintegra Business Services, which will engage in knowledge process outsourcing services (KPO) from Chennai, will go into operations by end of FY08.

Quintegra will invest Rs 25-30 crore as start-up cost in the new KPO arm.
