To cater to clients in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) and KPO verticals, Quintegra Solutions will form two subsidiaries - one each in Uganda and Chennai. |
To reinforce its presence in the African market, the Chennai-based software solutions company will open a wholly owned subsidiary at Kempala in Uganda by the second week of February, according to Quintegra CEO Shankarraman Vaidyanathan. |
Quintegra Uganda, the new subsidiary, will start off with a clutch of African corporates on its client list. It is expected to help Quintegra establish a comprehensive services network for ERP implementation and services in southern Africa, besides catering to existing clients. |
The company was in talks with about 15 East African companies for SAP implementation contracts and was looking at the BFSI segment here in a big way, Vaidyanathan said. |
"We are targeting revenues of $7-10 million from our African operations by financial year 2009-end," Vaidyanathan said. |
A second wholly owned subsidiary, Quintegra Business Services, which will engage in knowledge process outsourcing services (KPO) from Chennai, will go into operations by end of FY08. |
Quintegra will invest Rs 25-30 crore as start-up cost in the new KPO arm. |
