The former managing director, finance head and company secretary of erstwhile Satyam Computer Services, and three members of its board of directors at the time the scandal broke about its falsification of accounts, all appeared before a special court here today.
Former managing director B Rama Raju, former chief financial officer Vadlamani Srinivas (both in judicial custody already), former Union cabinet secretary T R Prasad, ex-IIT director V S Raju and former dean of the Indian School of Business, M Rammohan Rao, and Satyam’s former company secretary G Jayaraman appeared before the Special Court for Economic Offences.
They were named in seven cases filed before the court by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO). Apart from these, the SFIO also named Satyam founder B Ramalinga Raju and ex-directors Vinod K Dham, Krishna G Palepu and Mangalam Srinivasan, and the company’s former top executive Ram Mynampati, but they did not not appear.
The seven cases SFIO has filed are under various sections of breach of law.
