The special court, set up for trying the Satyam case, on Wednesday reserved the orders on a petition seeking clubbing of charges against the accused in the Satyam case to June 23.
The counsel for B Ramalinga Raju, the founder chairman of Satyam and the key accused in the case, and other accused pressed for clubbing of charges as it would avoid duplication of arguments and save time.
On the other hand, CBI said it would not be possible to club all charges together. It said two of the three chargesheets filed so far could be clubbed as a majority of the witnesses mentioned in them were common. But the third chargesheet related to income tax offenses, which does not fall under the jurisdiction of the special court.
