Satyam partners with Compuware to set up Centre of Excellence

Hyderabad-based Satyam Computer Services Limited has announced the launch of its 'Compuware Centre of Excellence' in partnership with Compuware Corporation, a software and IT services company headquartered in the US.

The Centre of Excellence (CoE) will provide the quality consulting group at Satyam access to and training on Compuware's automated testing and service management solutions. It will also enable it to provide top-of-the-line application reliability and service management solutions for IT organisations worldwide.

The Compuware CoE will be based on Satyam's campus in Hyderabad and will provide Satyam's customers and quality assurance professionals direct access to Compuware's comprehensive suite of automated testing solutions and best practices. It will also enable access to Compuware's performance management and troubleshooting capabilities.

"The quality and reliability of enterprise applications are of great interest to our customers," Prabhuu Sinha, senior vice-president (quality consulting), Satyam, said. "Our partnership with Compuware will allow us to provide best practices and solutions across the application quality lifecycle," he added.

Based on this partnership, Satyam consultants will utilise Compuware QACentre and Compuware Vantage.

The Compuware QACentre delivers a unique offering of automated testing products and solutions designed to validate applications, isolate and correct problems, and ensure that systems can handle the anticipated load before the applications go live.

Compuware Vantage is an application service management solution that helps IT organisations manage application performance from the perspective of the end-user.

Compuware offers solutions for delivering value across the application lifecycle. Some of these include IT governance and management, application development, comprehensive application reliability etc.
