Satyam's Pune centre assessed at level 5 of PCMM

Satyam Computer Services Limited, a global consulting and IT services provider, has announced that its Pune development centre has been assessed at level 5 of People Capability Maturity Model (PCMM) under the Software Engineering Institute "� Carnegie Mellon University's certification process.
 
TUV Rheinland (India) Private Limited, a global consulting firm, conducted the assessment at the Pune development centre, a press release said.
 
PCMM is a conceptual framework that helps organisations successfully address their critical people issues and integrate all the people processes in the organisation. It is based on the current best practices in diverse people related fields such as human resources, knowledge management and organisational development.
 
It provides a global people practice roadmap that guides organisations for continuous improvement in people processes.
 
The main objective behind Satyam's PCMM initiative is to improve the maturity of its people practices and establish a programme for continuous development, thereby promoting and maintaining a culture of excellence and innovation.
 
A S Murthy, director and senior vice-president and head of global human relations at Satyam said, "PCMM at Satyam is an extension of its constant endeavour towards continuous improvement.
